Feldkirchen bei Graz, 19.02.2024: Since 17 February SunExpress, the joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines honoured with the “Best Leisure Airline in Europe” award from Skytrax, has been flying from Graz to Antalya every Saturday, and from the end of March will do so several times a week. Between the end of June and the end of October the service will be expanded even further, and offered on the traffic days Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. SunExpress also has new plans to operate direct flights from Graz in the winter, and for some of the time even twice a week.
“Antalya is well-known as a wonderful holiday destination in summer. But with our new flight offering, we want to invite travellers to the Turkish Riviera precisely when grey winter days predominate in Styria, Carinthia and Slovenia. After all, sportspersons, culture vultures and lovers of fine food get more than their money’s worth here at any time of year! So we want to not only offer the service from Graz to Antalya in the summer months, but also include it in our winter flight schedule”, says Peter Glade, Commercial Director at SunExpress.
Wolfgang Grimus and Jürgen Löschnig, Managing Directors of Graz Airport: “Antalya stands for fabulous beaches, Turkish hospitality and a large number of sports options such as surfing, golf, hiking and much more. This variety and the flight time of just 2.5 hours make it an interesting year-round destination. No wonder it is so popular with our air passengers. This summer we are offering up to seven departures a week in total to Antalya.”
From November there will be flights every Saturday to Antalya. Further flights are planned. The flights can be booked from Friday 23 February.
