Starting November 21, British Airways subsidiary airline BA Euroflyer will operate a direct flight three times per week from Graz Airport to London Gatwick using an Airbus A320.

Feldkirchen bei Graz, July 8, 2025 – British Airways, the United Kingdom’s flag carrier and member of the oneworld alliance is operating three weekly flights from Graz Airport to London Gatwick. The new direct flights launching this November will connect the UK’s capital city with Austria’s second-largest city.

Karen Hilton, Managing Director of BA Euroflyer said: „We’re excited to further strengthen our connectivity between London and Austria with the addition of Graz. We will be the only direct operation between the two cities, offering more choice to our customers, whether it’s for business, leisure, or visiting friends and family.

Wolfgang Grimus, Managing Director of Graz Airport, comments: “London was by far the largest market without direct flights from our region. The scheduled BA Euroflyer flights to Gatwick are immensely important for business, industry, and tourism in our area. The new connection benefits both business travelers and tourists – whether they want to explore the scenic, cultural, and culinary diversity of Graz and Styria or immerse themselves in the vibrant metropolis of London. Additionally, our passengers will gain access to onward connections to selected long-haul destinations and to a second airline alliance.”

The oneworld alliance, established in 1999, comprises 15 member airlines operating more than 3,000 aircraft in total. Alongside British Airways, members include American Airlines, Iberia, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, and Qantas, among others.

Wolfgang Malik representing the owner of Graz Airport, emphasizes that “a direct scheduled connection between Graz and London has long been pursued, and the immediate bookability of the London Gatwick destination from Graz now marks an important milestone.”
“The route to London with British Airways will further enhance the location quality of Graz Airport for the Styrian economy and as a hub for the Area South, while also enabling mutually attractive tourism opportunities,” Malik says, expressing particular pride in this successful achievement for the Styrian regional airport.
