Flying connects people. To be able to fly in the future too it is important to harmonise aviation and climate protection. Graz Airport is taking diverse measures to contribute its part.

  • ÖKOPROFIT-certification

    The airport is part of ÖKOPROFIT a cooperation project between communities and economy which aims to preserve natural resources.

  • e-mobility

    Numerous vehicles and equipment such as follow-me cars, stairs, service cars etc. have electric power supply.

  • Photo-voltaic

    Producing green electricity is an important part of the corporate strategy and is partly achieved by photo-voltaic.

  • LED lights

    By changing lighting to LED power consumption could be reduced by 31%, partly even by 58%.

  • Sustainability round table

    Since 15 years now 2 times a year a sustainability round table is taking place where relevant participants meet to discuss in a constructive manner the challenges ahead.

Harmonise work & family life

„Only together we are strong!”. Following that motto ensuring the work life balance of its employees plays an important role at the airport. It is our goal to achieve a work sphere where staff feels good on a long-term basis. Flexible time programmes or family friendly offers are some of the measures taken.

Safe and healthy at work

At Graz Airport the social aspect and health are of major importance. A corporate health programme has been introduced providing employees with divers offers – from a sports club to health care up to work shops.

    The ÖKOPROFIT project was started by the City of Graz to make local economy more sustainable. Graz Airport has received the award already 25 times.

  • „workandfamily“

    With family friendly measures Graz Airport supports staff to ensure a good work life balance. In 2013 the company received the quality label „berufundfamilie“.

  • BGF label of quality

    For its work on ensuring safety and long-term health for employees Graz Airport was certified with the quality label for corporate health promotion.
