A successful partnership enters its next phase

Feldkirchen bei Graz, 26.03.2024: In a two-stage bidding process made known throughout Europe, Heinemann Austria GmbH has been awarded the contract to operate a duty free / travel value concept at Graz Airport. The partnership that has lasted almost 20 years will thus be continued.

Roman Koch, Managing Director Heinemann Austria GmbH: “We are delighted to be continuing our long-term, trust-based partnership with Graz Airport. Since 2005 we have grown together and stood united even in challenging times. In future too we will be a valuable travel companion for the passengers at Graz Airport, and will delight them with our range and our impressive employees.”

“With its motivated team, Heinemann has repeatedly further developed the shop in the last 20 years with great commitment”, comments Jürgen Löschnig, Managing Director of Graz Airport. “So I am very pleased that will be able to continue this great working relationship.”

Heinemann Austria GmbH has been running the 420 m2 duty free shop at Graz Airport since 2005. The incorporation of the regional “Styria” section has met with a highly positive response, and so in future regionality will be an even greater focus, enabling passengers at Graz Airport to take a piece of Austria or Styria to their destination country with them.

For air travellers within the EU, a pick-up service has been set up: purchases are kept at the airport until the passengers arrive back at the airport in Graz, meaning they do not have to carry them around for their whole trip. Purchases can be collected at the APCOA cash desk in the car park.

Travellers who are short of time at the airport, but would like to take something from the shop with them on their trip, can use the Click & Collect service: purchases can be ordered online up to 12 hours before the flight, and then collected at the Heinemann Shop at the airport.
