Pegasus Airlines expands its international route network with direct flights connecting Istanbul and Graz.

Feldkirchen bei Graz, 03.06.2025: Pegasus, one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines, has launched an exciting new link between the cultural capital of Türkiye, Istanbul, and the Styrian capital, Graz. Flights will be offered three times a week, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. With over 41 million passengers, Sabiha Gökçen International is the second-largest airport in Türkiye after Istanbul, and is a major hub for Pegasus.

Emre Pekesen, Group Director Sales and Network Planning at Pegasus Airlines: “We are delighted to be connecting two such multifaceted cultural destinations as Graz and Istanbul with our new Pegasus route. Our guests now have a wider choice of destinations, irrespective of whether they are travelling for business or privately. They can fly conveniently with one of the world’s youngest aircraft fleets, and benefit from our extensive route network across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and beyond – from Amman and Dubai to Shiraz and Sharm El Sheikh. Türkiye’s summer hotspots such as Bodrum, Izmir, Antalya and Dalaman are also easily accessible. We look forward to welcoming everyone on board!”

With a flight time of just two hours and 15 minutes, passengers travelling between these two centres can now access Pegasus’s growing route network with domestic and international flights, including Istanbul, the famous city on two continents – Europe and Asia.

City Councillor Manfred Eber comments: “The direct connection between Graz and Istanbul will give travellers greater choice, and make our city even more visible internationally. This will benefit not only tourists, but also companies with international contacts. Offerings like this make Graz more attractive – as a travel destination, economic location and place to live.”

Wolfgang Malik, Chairman of the Board of Holding Graz, explains: “The new connection to Sabiha Gökçen Airport immediately opens up new options for travellers from Graz. With this new hub in the south, our incoming and outgoing passengers now have a further 151 destinations in 54 countries available to them, in addition to the previous selection. Alongside the more than 30 destinations from Graz Airport previously in the 2025 summer flight schedule, this is the perfect addition to the major hubs that have been accessible for years via scheduled flights, such as Frankfurt, Vienna and Munich, via which passengers can now reach more than 200 destinations worldwide.”

And Wolfgang Grimus, Managing Director of Graz Airport, summarised: “From its base at Sabiha Gökçen, Pegasus Airlines, Türkiye’s leading low-cost carrier, alone offers connections to more than 30 destinations within Türkiye, and also for example to many interesting destinations in Asia and Africa, with a connection time of three hours at most. And of course Istanbul itself, the incredibly fascinating and varied city spanning two continents, is also well worth visiting more than once!”
