Graz Airport: Perfectly connected to the world in winter too

Feldkirchen bei Graz, 30 September 2022: Sunday 30 October is the start date for the winter flight schedule at Graz Airport. For some time holiday travellers have again been offered three departures a week to the sun, while business and long-distance travellers can take off for the world with numerous scheduled flights.

“This winter we have once again been able to put together an attractive programme together with our partners”, explains Wolfgang Grimus, Managing Director of Graz Airport. “Our passengers can conveniently reach destinations on every continent with our numerous scheduled flights. I am especially pleased that this year they can also take off for the south with direct flights three times a week.”

Scheduled flights:
In the upcoming winter flight schedule, around 70 weekly flights, thus an average of 10 flights a day, will head for the five major hubs Frankfurt, Vienna, Munich, Amsterdam und Zürich.

The front runners are Frankfurt with 23 departures a week and Munich with 22, followed by Vienna with 13 weekly departures. KLM is increasing the number of flight connections, so from the end of October passengers can reach Amsterdam 10 times a week from Graz. The additional flights on Friday, Sunday and Monday mean not only that weekend breaks are more convenient than ever, but also that it is much easier to reach the connections to 167 destinations in the KLM / Air France worldwide network.

The five departures a week to Stuttgart and Düsseldorf are important for the Styrian economy and interesting for city travellers. In terms of Stuttgart, the Mercedes-Benz Museum might still be well-known, but who knows the first television tower in the world, or “Zacke”, one of Germany’s last four rack railways? And who has already visited the longest bar in the world in Düsseldorf with its 260 pubs?

Soak up the sun in winter:
For holiday travellers drawn to warmer places, for some time there have once again been three departures a week to the sea. Twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday) in cooperation with a variety of tour operators Corendon flies to Hurghada on the Red Sea, and once a week (Wednesday) to Las Palmas on Gran Canaria. And of course the numerous departures from Graz to the major hubs make many dream destinations and dream beaches easy to reach.

Autumn holidays:
Anyone wanting to still enjoy the sun in October will find a wide variety of flights available, with direct flights to Heraklion, Hurghada, Paphos, Larnaca, Porto and Lisbon.
